Dear Ms. Chavez:

%A fmW:^,N 3 /. /

sg This letter is to confirm our conversation -*

February 5, 1982 regarding various discovery matters.

First, you stated that you expected to be in a position 4)/ ~ JTh( '

to provide Edison with DAARE/ SAFE's supplemental responses to Edison's first round of Interrogatories by February 15, 1982. Accordingly, I stated that we would not, at this time, file a request with the Licensing Board seeking an Order to compel DAARE/ SAFE to provide responsive answers to Edison's first round of Interrogatories.

Secondly, you stated that DAARE/ SAFE intended to use Mr. Michio Kaku as an expert witness with respect to the matters raised in DAARE/ SAFE Contention 4. I requested that you contact Mr. Kaku as soon as possible to ascertain when and where he would be available for the purposes of ' '

taking his deposition. -

s Thank you for your cooperation with respeci to these matters.  %
