DEFICIENCIES IDENTIFIED DURING INITIAL TEST OF PROMPT NOTIFICATION SYSTD1 As per your February 3,1982 request, enclosed is a list of initial test results of the prompt public notification / warning system for RIII power reactors. This information was given to Mr. Hickman of your staff on February 3, 1982.
We have asked each facility in Region III to provide us, in writing, their initial test results, identified deficiencies, and schedule for corrective actions.
In all cases, the licensees believe they can correct their deficien-cies before June 1, 1982, in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(s)(2). However, if our review of the licensee's response indicates problems relevant to the correction of these deficiencies, enforcement action will be taken.
