S. Iluclear Regulatory Comission (the Commission) has reviewed the anendments to Construction Pernits CPPR-108 and CPPR-109 relating to the discharge structure nodifications at Alvin W. Vogtle Huclear Plant, Unit Nos. I and 2.
The anendnents would delete the original nultiport, submerged design of the discharge structure and substitute a single-point, subnerged discharge structure.
In accordance with 10 CFR Part 51, the Connission's Division of Licensing has prepared an Environnental Inpact Appraisal (EI A) for the anendments. Based on the EIA the Cornission has concluded that an environmental inpact statenent for this action is not warranted because there will be no adverse environmental impacts affecting the quality of the human environnent, attributable to the proposed action, that would be in addition to those impacts already evaluated in the Conmission's Final Enviro;imental Statament for Alvin W. Vogtle fluclear Plant, Unit Nos. I and 2, issued in March 1974. A negative declaration is, therefore, appropriate.
