[pil.1andpraythatmy6yearolddaughterremembersthatthisisthetimeto swallow the pill in her lunchbox? Who would be dumb enough, if asked, to

. sign a contract to drive into the area in order to evacuate our children? I can only picture inbotomized, programmed people with no f ear and anxiety running thrnugh then as,possible candidates. Then ynu will not only have to finally and cn:lously account for anxiety of parents and children as hyprodt$ cts of '

tr.tcicar plants but also for mass anger and resentment.

Hnw do you apologi::e at that time for not siting the plant in a better Incation, in other words, not on a fault, not coated with corrosive water from -

ths Hudson River, rot near a tremendously populated ares? How do you then go nn to explain why you nuver built massive fallout shelters, since evacuating on

htse roads is suicidal? Finally as the ultimate testiranial to your lack of planning, how do you explain to the President and to the Governor that 'ynu are sorry all this prime real estate close to New York City is nnu devnid of tax and utility payers, and that it is all radinactive far hundreds and hundreds of years?

I can picture two corporate responses. The usual one which comes to mind immediately is that you think we prntestors are all extremists, that the chance of. nuclear disaster at a power plant is so re nte, it doesn't warrant evacuation plans. The second response is that you see th'e insanity of-the geographic'ai locatinn of Indian ?oint, its proximity to New York City and near such mediocre

/0 roadways.

Pago 2 With supposedly multi-degreed people haading the NRC, PA3NY, and con Id, eno *muld expect logic and clear-thinkin'a'. That would dictate admitting the possibility of human error at Indian Point, from, minor mishaps to major nu21ccr accidents. Such ' clear-thinking would then realize the folly of a

I will be satisfied'with a coal plant. With such a plant, I will not havo to have special pills with me at all times and in my child's lunchbox.

With a coal plant, I will not need nulti-million dollar evacuation plans.

If anything, 'I'll get lung disease and die over a 40 year span, a vast improve:nent over dying in.a short span of ti:se from a major nuclear power plant accident.
