Docket Nos.50-247SP,50-286SP

Dear Judge Carter:

This is to inform you that the New York State Assembly and the Assembly Special Committee on Nuclear Power Safety do not intend to file a reply to con Edison's Answer to Amended Petitions for Leave to Intervene nor to the NRC Staff Response to Amendment to Petition to Participate Pursuant to 10 C.F.R. M 2.715(c) of the New York State Assemolv.

The latter response supports the New York State Assembly's request to participate pursuant to 10 C.F.R. 5 2.715(c) and the form-er does not raise any new matters that were not addressed in the Assembly's Amended Petition to Intervene.

Please do not hesitate to ask if there is any additional infor-mation that we can provide.

Very truly yours, N
