Dear Mr. Keppler:

This is to provide additional informational regarding action taken to correct deficiencies identified during the Emergency Preparedness Appraisal at Zion Station, reported in reference (a).

The following information is provided concerning Deficiency Item No.

10.

Af ter consultations with the appropriate off-site govern-mental agencies, Commonwealth Edison has concluded that the mass distribution of public information pamphlets for the Illinois Beach State Park (IBSP) would be inadvisable.

Instead, we propose to install public address system capability at the IBSP.

Equipment will be installed at the IBSP ranger's station to provide a locally controlled access to the electronic sirens in and around the IBSP that are being installed as part of the Lake County Prompt Public Notification System.

These sirens have puolic address capability.

This local access system will be operational prior to the Memorial Day weekend, which is the opening of the IBSP season.
