DOCKET N0. 50-312 RANCHO SEC0 NUCLEAP GENERATlHG STATION UNIT NO. 1 PROPOSED AMENDiiENT NO. 80 in accordance with-10 CFR 50.59, the Sacramento Municipal Utility District hereby proposes to amend its Operating License, DPP-54, for Rancho Seco j
Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No. 1, by submitting forty (40) copies of Proposed Amendment No. 80.
The District's quality assurance department recently conducted an audit of Rancho Seco's control rod drive system. This audit pointed out an edito-rial error in the Technical Specifications.
The error consists of the second (2) remark and the calibrate notation of item 39 in Table 4.1-1.
Table 4.1-1 is titled " Instrument Su rvei l lance Requi rerr.ents"; item 39 is the 'l Cont rol Rod, Relative Position" channel; the second (2) remark is to " calibrate _' rod, nisali,gnment' channel"; and the calibrate notation is "once during the refueling interval".
Both the second (2)'renark and the~ calibrate notation should not have been' included.
It i s, of ' course, impossible to calibrate rod misalignment.

This amendment' is ed'ito' rial.and is sub'mitted to the commission to clarify the Technical Specifications. The Code of Federal Degulation, Title 10, Article 170.22, Footnote 2, exempts this change f rom scheduled fees.
