FINAL RULE - GENERAL REVISIONS TO APPENDICES G AND H FRACTURE TOUGHNESS AND REACTOR VESSEL MATERIAL SURVEILLANCE REQUIREMENTS I understand that the documentation package on the subject rule change is in the final stages of staff approval.
If you judge that this rule change should be reviewed by the CRGR, please let me know when we can expect to receive the package for our review. We generally will schedule CRGR review 2 weeks after our receipt of tha final package, which should include a discussion of the costs and benefits of the rule as well as a clear explanation of its proposed implementation to operating reactors and reactors under construction.

CRGR REVIEW OF FINAL RULE - GENERAL REVISIONS TO APPENDICES G AND H - FRACTURE TOUGHNESS AND REACTOR VESSEL MATERIAL SURVEILLANCE REQUIREMENTS Anticipating submittal of the subject rule changes to the Connission, please allow for prior CRGR review.
I understand that the final documentation package being proposed for Commission approval is now in the concurrence path between Offices. When you judge this final package to be sufficiently complete and suitable for CRGR review, please furnish my staff with copies. As a rule of thumb, allow about 2 weeks after our receipt of the final package for scheduling at a CRGR meeting.
Please ensure that cognizant staff in your office and others are advised of this item being scheduled on the CRGR agenda and can participate, as necessary, to brief the CRGR on expected costs and benefits of these rule changes.
