MOTION BY APPLICANT FOR AN EXTENSION OF TIME WITHIN WHICH TO REPLY TO " MEMORANDUM OF CLARIFICATION ON PIUi CONTENTIONS FOR LIMERICK ECOLOGY ACTION AND KEYSTONE ALLIANCE" At the time of the Prehearing Conference on January 8, 1982, the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (" Licensing Board") indicated that intervenor Limerick Ecology Action 1

(" LEA") would be given an opportunity to supplement its contentions regarding~the Limerick Probabilistic Risk Assessment for the purposes of clarification. On January 18, 1982 LEA served its Memorandum, which was received by counsel for the Applicant on January 21, 1982.

As the Licensing Board may be aware, emergency planning hearings commenced in the Zimmer proceeding on January 25, 1982 and are scheduled to continue until February 5, 1982.

Counsel for Applicant in the Zimmer proceeding have been in Cincinnati on each work day continuously since January 19,-

1982 and will not return to the firm's office until February 8, 1982 by reason of this proceeding.

Since the clarifications by LEA involve PRA contentiens, technical consultation will be necessary.
