This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. R. E Burgin of this office on January 7, 1982, of activities authorized by NRC Byproduct Material License No. 34-00203-03 and to the discussion of our findings with Dr. Rcbert Class and Mr. Steve Landgraf, RSO, at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection was an examination of activitz es conducted under your license as they relate to radiation safety and to compliance with the Commission's rules and regulations and with the conditions of your license. The inspec-tion consisted of a selective examination of procedures and representative records, observations, independent measurements, and interviews with personnel.
During this inspection, certain of your activities appeared to be in non-compliance with IIRC requirements, as described in the enclosed Appendix.
With respect to items 2, 3 and 4, the inspection showed that action had been taken to correct the identified noncompliances and to prevent recurr-ence.
Consequently, no reply to these items of noncompliance is required and we have no further questions regarding this matter at this time.
Regarding the remaining item, a written response is required.
We will gladly discuss any questions you have concerning this inspection.
