LIMITATIONS & ACTIONS 1.

Any supplies determined to be missing as a result of an inventory will be replaced as soon as possible.

2.

These supplies apply only to in-house kits and are seperate from the OSC, TSC, EOF, environmental kit, and Victory Hospital supplies.

3.

The Rad Chem Supervisor or his designee will be responsible for l

docunentation and control of these supplies.

FHO DURE 1.

The radiation protection department is responsible for maintenance of the emergency equipment. The radiation protection foreman will ensure that the technicians conduct the tests and actions as described below. The radiation chemistry te&nicians will complete Attachment A monthly and will conduct an inventory of the equipment specified on Attachment 8 quarterly, as well as complete the form.

2.

The radiation detectors will have a battery check performed monthly and will be calibrated quarterly.

3.

Self reading dosimeters will be calibrated per RP 1250-3.

4.

The three radiological emergency kits listed below will be inventoried quarterly, a.

Radiological Emergency Kit in the Control Room The emergency kit in the control room is for airborne or direct radiation hazards, which would most likely affect personnel in this area.

b.

Radiological Emergency Kit in the Machine Shoo Since the machine shop is the emergency assembly area, the f"

emergency kit is for use on contaminated personnel and centaminated material.

c.

Radiological Emergency Kit in the Primary Sample Rocm This kit contains equipment to be used in the event of a small spill.

Tne mobile radiological emergency kit for the Aux Bldg / Fuel Bldg is I

intended for use in larger spills, area contamination, or other radiological emergencies in the Aux / Fuel Buildings. This emergency kit is located in a gang box on the 617' level of the Auxiliary Building, in the purge rooms. Radiation protection should be notified in order to unlock the gang box for use. Once per month the security seal for the mobile kit will be verified to be intact. If its not intact an inventory will be performed and documented on.

6.

Whether the seal is intact or not, an inventory of the mobile kit will be performed annually, G.
