MINUTES OF OCTOBER 1981 RESEARCH REVIEW GROUP (RRG)
MEETING Oil FUEL CYCLE FACILITY SAFETY RESEARCll PROGRNi (FCFSRP)
On October 20-21, 1981, the sixth RRG meeting for the FCFSRP was held.
Enclosed are the minutes of this meeting. The basic objectives of the meeting were accomplined. The status of the incomplete FY 81 deliverables were reviewed and new schedules developed for completion of this work. Thei status of current experimental and analytical tasks were reviewed. The status of the material to be included in the first version of the Accident Analysis Handbook (AAH) was reviewed and a schedule developed for delivery of this materials to the NRC.
Since the meeting the target date for completion of the level one AAH has been delayed from December 1981 to February 1982.
It is planned to hold the seventh FCFSRP RRG meeting after the first version of the AAH has been reviewed by the RRG. The meeting should, therefore, be taking place in March 1982.
Concerning the first action item in Section 8 of the minutes, Battelle Pacific Northwest Laboratories' (Pfll) latest estimate for completing the fabrication of the combustor for the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LAHL) filter plugging experiments is February / March 1982. On the third action item, NRC suggestions on the Factory Mutual Research Corporation combu:; tion product characterization experiments were submitted to Ptil by letter dated November 25, 1981.
