Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
Q1 Decmber 22, 1981, a potmtial suostantial safety hazard or potmtial significant deficimcy as defined by 10CFR21 and 10CFR50.55(e) was reported to Mr. Virgil Brownlee at the NBC Regicn II office. We itcra involves Westinghouse globe valves (Limitorque Actuated) used for outside ocntainment isolaticn of the seal injecticn lines not seating tight enough. m is could result in radioactive leakage to the atnesphere.
A determinaticn will be made of whether this prob 1m is a substantial safety hazard or signi.icant deficimcy whm required systems needed to functicnally retest these globe valves at full differcntial pressure are returned to service.
