Dear Mr. Stoiber:
This is in regard to International Associates' license application XUO8519 which was forwarded for your review on April 6,1981.
It involves the export of 67 kilograms of depleted uranium to Brazil for use by the Brazilian Navy as counterweights for ship models.
As you are aware, the export licensing jurisdiction for this type of material was transferred from the NRC to the Department of Commerce, effective December 29, 1981.
Under the new Commerce Department CCL entry, this material may be exported to Brazil under general license and the applicant has been so advised. As a result of this transfer of licensing responsibility, NRC is cancelling license application XUO8519. Please mark your records to indicate this.
Sincerely, pW Ac-7 Ja s B. Devine, Ass stant Director.
