g This refers to your application dated July 9,1979, as amended, requestin v m
approval of the Model No. C-10 package.
Your response dated September 21,1981, concerning our December 31, 1981 request was not responsive in that:

(a) Evidence was not provided that the Model No. C-10 had been tested i
in the orientatien that would cause maximum damage to the lockbox i
as a result of the free drop and subsequent puncture test.

fact, Photographs P-7 and P-8 indicate that the initial impact was away from the area of the lockbox. The initial point of impact and i
the condition of the lockbox following the tests was not explicitly stated and supported by photographs.
(b) Weld sizes were not shown on Drawing No. 607-7001-031.
j (c) A positive means for pressure relief was not provided.
It is not i
apparent that spaces exist around the "S" tube at the lockbox to
{
pemit gases to escape nor the spaces, if existing, are adequate to vent the decomposition gases of the polyurethane fom to pmvent l
pressure buildup inside the device.
