NRC STAFF RESPONSE TO INVITATION TO COMMENT By a memorandum dated December 23, 1981 from Samuel J. Chilk, Secretary of the Comission, parties to the TMI-1 restart proceeding were invited to comment by January 13, 1982 on:

1.

liatters discussed at a December 21, 1981 Comission briefing on information flow during the first day of the THI-2 accident.

(A transcript of the briefing accompanied the neraorandum).

2.

Four documents which relate to the water level indicator issue but are not currently part of the record of the THI-1 restart proceeding.

(Copies of those documents also accompanied the memorandum).

The NRC Staff has no comments that it wishes to offer cn either the matters related to information flow during the first day of the Ti1I-2 accident or the four documents related to reactor water level measurement.
