I have reviewed parts' of the Clermont County Radiologiel Emergency Response Plan and have reviewed Zimmer Area Citizens-Zimmer Area Citizens of Kentucky contentions 20, 20(c), 20(e), and 24, and state the following as my direct testimony.

Presently, I have received no training nor instruction as to what role I would play as a member of the Monroe Township Volunteer Life Squad in the event of an emergency at the Zimmer Station.

Based upon my participation on the Life Squad and my attendance at its monthly meetings , it is my belief that several other members of the Monroe Township Volunteer Life Squad have also not received such inst ruction.

In the event of an emergency at the Zimmer Station, it is likely that many members of the Monroe Township Volunteer Life Squad would not assume their assigned roles in the emergency plan for the following reasons. First, it is likely that many members of the life squad would initially take action to insure that their families are safe or evacuated from the area. Second, many members of the life squad may be immediately unavailable for assignment due to the location or nature of their employment in the event of an emergency. Th ird, life' squad members' actions would be dictated by the extent of personal risk that they see the=selves taking. Finally, I have been advised by our permanent chief of the Monroe Township Volunteer Life Squad that she will not part icipat e or assume her assigned role as a life squad member in the event of an emergency p

at Zimmer necessitating action by the life squad. i
