UrS. Nuclear'Reculatory Cormission Wisffirigtg;/*D.C.' 20555 E&so Hon. Nunzio Palladino, i
With the NRC's oecision regarding the t of TMI-l pending, I believe that it is very impo due to the unusual circumstances which face resi of the area surrounding the United States' worst com-mercial nuclear accident site, ' you and the other commissioners of the NRC break tradition and hold a public meeting in the Harrisburg area.
With recent changes in policy concerning r'estart prior to the adoption of a fiscally sound plan for the clean-up of TMI-2, inconclusive hearings regarding operator and Met-Ed endorsed cheating on tests, (note; high pressure injection ccores), 20 mile radius evacuation plan to a 10 mile radius, the credebility of the NRC as a ' body for the regulation of an industry, rather than the regulation of the people who live around the handiwork of that industry, stands to be damaged without such an opportunity for meaningful dialogue prior to any decision rerarding the restart of TMI-1.
.Your serious consideration of this request is very ruch appreciated.
Sincerely, David C. Wencer 522 Antoine St.
