Revision to Application for Renewal of License R-119 (Docket 50-87)
The Westinghouse Electric Corporation hereby submits this revision to our application dated December 18, 1981 for renewal of License R-119 4
l (Docket 50-87) for the Westinghouse Nuclear Training Reactor located at Zion, Illinois.
l This submission revises the requested term of the license from a period i
of 10 years to 20 years.
It is anticipated that the need for the Nuclear Training Reactor will continue through the term of the requested license.
l Given the negligible burnup of the fuel and the simplicity of the system
)
to operate and maintain, the issuance of a license for a 20 year period i
rather than a 10 year period will not be inimical to the conmon defense l
and security or to the health and safety of the public.
