NUREG-0737 Item II.K.3.24 requires verification of the acceptability of the consequences of a loss of offsite alternating-current power to the space cooling equipment of the reactor core isolation cooling (RCIC) and high-pressure coolant injection (WCI) systems.
The RCIC and HPCI space cooling systems are designed to be supplied power by the on-site emergency diesel generators on loss of off-site power and are, therefore, not impacted by such a loss.
Plant Hatch meets the intent of item II.K.3.24 in that sufficient cooling to the areas in question is provided under the conditions specified.
This submittal completes our intended actions in response to item II.K.3.24.
