Expiration of License The inspector contacted the licensee by phone on October 14, 1981 and l

notified him that his license SNM-1574 had expired on October 31, i

1981. The licensee informed the inspector that he possessed 30 special l

nuclear material and wished to have his. license terminated.

This was l

confirmed in a letter sent by the licensee to the Regional Office on l

December 11, 1981.

Evaluation by the Recional Office Region I has evaluated the inforr.iation supplied by the licensee and has determined that a closecut survey is not necessary and that this license should be retired.
