Expiration of License i
The inspector telephoned the licensee on October 7,1981 and notified him that his License No. 08-5938-06 had expired on June 30, 1981.
The licensee informed the inspector that they still possessed.the.
byproduct material and wished to maintain this license. A letter, together with an NRC-313 application form, was sent to the licensee informing him that this possession constituted noncompliance with 10 CFR 30.3.

Application for New License On November 16,'1981, the Regional Office received a letter from the licensee stating that a renewal application was submitted on j
October 23, 1981. The inspector verified with the Regional Materials Licensing Representative that the application was received on i
October 29, 1981.
