petition to intervene. Enclosed find a cocy of the notification ~ of the intervention petitlen process, which was crinted in the Amesbury News, October 28, 1981. 'Ibe signers of our petition want it noted that we followed carefully the criteria for cetitioners, as outlined in the enclosed news release. We also want to refer you to paragraoh #6 of our petition as a clear stater:ent of the direct effect that Seabrook's coeration will have on us: namely, in our resconsibility to muster the physical resources and professional training needed to deal with a whole new realm

_of-pathologies for our area - those associated with radiation exoosure.

Health croblems cited in.ur petition, whether inevitable or oossible, affect us personally and directiv, in our need to creoare to meet them.

You must see how this is true even before such eroblems actually surface.

On this basis, we challenge the acclicant's arcument that our cetition be denied.
