" Material Properties of Tube Track and Welded Fittings"

LP&L Letter W3K81-0402 to USNRC dated November 4, 1981

Dear Mr. Collins:

In the referenced letter, LP&L notified the NRC that a final report of Significant Construction Deficiency No. 35 would be submitted by December 15, 1981.

As of this date, the J. C. White Company has not fully responded to the Ebasco New York Quality Assurance Facility Audit. This should be resolved in the very near future.

In addition to the original material problem identified by Ebasco, another item of concern has been identified. This item relates to the possibility of tube track configurations not conforming to instrumentation installation details.

Evaluation of the Wyle Lab seismic qualification report is to be performed by Ebasco Engineering.

Due to the added delay caused by this engineering evaluation, a final report will be submitted to the NRC by March 15, 1982.
