As State Legislators in the area surrounding Three Mile Island, we are j'concernedaboutboththecleanup~ofUnit2andthepotentialrestart)
' of Unit 1.
As you know, the ac,cident two and one half years ago has had a profound affect on many of our c6nstituents both financially and psychologically.
There are, of course, many teciinical and legal prerequisites to cleanup and restart, but we would like you to be aware of our concern and the concern of our constituents.
Neither the cleanup or the restart should proceed until the Nuclear Regulatory Commission can in the strongest possible way assure us in Central Pennsylvania of the safe operation of both procedures.
