Dear Mr. Rouse:
ny j o-This letter is in response to your request (Ref. 2) concerning decommissio'n-D ing facilities cceered by License SNM-960 at the Vallecitos Nuclear Center (VNC).
As a general background statement, due to the research and development nature of the VNC site, we believe any decommissioning plan should be very general in scope to take into account future changes in facilities and activities.
Please note that in the past VNC has provided some of the financial commit-ment information you have requested (Ref. 3).
Your requests for additional commitments have been forwarded to appropriate Corporate management for review and response.
In view of the extended time necessary to coordinate these activities, we plan to submit a full response by February 26, 1982.
