MINtITES OF CRGR MEETING NO. 4 The Committee to Review Generic Requirements met on December 10, 1981.
All members were in attendance except Mr. Fausshardt (attendee list enclosed). The following matters were considered:
1.
The Committee continued discussion of the previous meeting on the topic of " Facilities, Equipment and Procedures to Cope with Emergencies in Nuclear Power Plants." Ed Blackwood of the DEDROGR staff discussed the initial findings of the intensive Task Force review of NRC's requirements in this area. The Committee decided that it will seek comments from the Program offices after the Task Force refines the proposed requirements. The DEDROGR staff will draft an integrated plan for further ED0 action. The Committee will consider these items at its next meeting scheduled for January 7,1982.
2.
Mr. Jordan reported that IE was preparing a Commission paper on improving quality Assurance procedures at nuclear plants. The Comittee requested that the Program Offices bring this matter back when the proposed QA requirements have been better defined.
3.
Dr. Ross of RES briefed the Committee on the Commission paper outlining proposed actions on the Severe Accident Rulemaking and associated matters. The Committee offeed comments and requested to be kept informed of activities in this area.
