a A synthesized site specific time history was generated for the purpose of reassessing the essential structures and equipment.

The THS time history produces response spectra which envelope the site specific ground motion spectra for all applicable damping values. Figures 1 and 2 present the comparison of the Fermi 2 site specific spectra and the spectra obtained from the THS time history for the EW and the NS components. Tables 1 through 4 present the information contained in Figures 1 and 2 in a tabular form. ~g w. ..-r --vc-w c-y --my,.+ m.,* w y.r,r -.ywy--,,-,.w-.-..- g,c.-.-- -., -, w y.-y-- w,

Attachment B to: EF2-55,704 Supplemental Seismic Reassessment Information Structural Evaluation

s The reassessment of structures essential for shutdown is summarized in the Supplementary Seismic Evaluation Report No. EF2-53,332 dated July 15, 1981. This reassessment shows that the critical Fermi 2 structures will only experience stresses considerably below yield point levels. Figures B1 and B2 illustrate spectral differences between the TH5 (NS and EW components) time history and the time history on which the structural reassessment was based. Predominant structural frequency ranges are shown by hatched zones along the frequency scale. It is concluded that use of the THS time history does not change any of the conclusions of the initial struc-tural reassessment.
