LICENSE AMENDMENT APPLICATION DATED DECEF3ER 4,1981 I.
Backaround Pacific Gas and Electric is licensed under NRC Materials License No. SNM-1667 for the receipt and storage of fuel for eventual use in the Diablo Canyon Unit 2.
The license is scheduled to expire December 31, 1981. The application requests that the lir.ccse expiration date be extended to June 30, 1982.
II.
Discassion The need for an extension of the license expiration date is due to ]icensin9
-delays.
Extending the expiration date does not affect the radiological safety, nuclear safety, or other parameters on which the issuance of the license was based.
III.
Recomendation

On the basis of the above, I recomend that the license extension, as requested by the licensee, be approved.
