SUMMARY

OF MEETIllG HELD NOVEMBER 9, 1981 WITH CALLAWAY APPLICANT TO DISCUSS MATTERS RELATED TO CONTAIflMENT DOME A public meeting was held on November 9, 1981 in Bethesda, Maryland with representatives, consultants, and business associates of the Union Electric Company. An attendance list is attached as Enclosure 1.

The meeting was held so that the applicant could present verbally the contents of his final report, including revision one thereto, on reactor building dome concrete imperfections (reference:

letter, J. K. Bryan to J. G. Keppler, ULNRC-503, dated September 9, 1931).

As a result of the applicant's presentation, the staff requested the applicant to provide additional technical data with respect to lap splices and the anchorage length of radial steel reinforcing bars. The applicant indicated that the requested information would be provided by the end of the week.

letter, J. K. Byron to J. G. Keppler, ULNRC-503, dated September 9,1981.

As a result of the applicant's presentation, the staff requested the applicant to provide (a) further evaluation of the adequacy of the lap splices assuming a lack of bond with concrete, and (b) further evaluation of the adequacy of the anchorage length of radial steel reinforcing bars assuming a lack of bond of concrete with hoop steel bars. The applicant indicated these further evaluations could be completed and provided to the staff within a day or two.
