SUMMARY

OF JOB ASSIGNMENT, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES During the past 23 years I have been involved in a continuous pro-gram of hazards analysis and evaluations to minimize and eliminate where possible radiological hazards in terms of occupational and non-occupational exposures to radiation, contamination control and releases of radioactive effluents to the environs.

I have been principal and co-author of approximately 30 technical papers and publications related to radiation health and safety.

, i, Texas A&M-University, I taught courses in radiological emergency planning.

Since joining the NRC in August 1980 I have been assigned duties as the principal reviewer of research and test reactor emergency plans and the development of standards and guidance criteria for emergency planning for research and test reactors. This work experience has included: (1) education and training (instructions to radiation workers and local government and support agencies, e.g., fire departments, police agencies and medical personnel);

(2) development of emergency plans and procedures; and (3) engineer-ing design and safeguards.

I am a member of the National Health Physics Society and the American Nuclear Society ANS-15.16 Subcommittee for establishing emergency planning standards for research and test reactors.
