Memorandum, MacDonald to Ross, dated October 23, 1981 The referenced memorandum requested additional information for the subject 1

review and also wanted to know when this would be provided to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).

We have been advised by Argonne National Laboratory'(ANL), that the. earliest the material can be provided is by July 1, 1982. The delay is based on

estimates of time to solicit technical assistance, and to establish a funding source for needed assistance. This has been discussed between Robert Elder of my staff and William Lake of your staff.
