Dear Mr. Schwencer:
.In response to an inquiry from Mr. R. L. Tedesco (NRR-DL),
I am writing to clarify the information provided in Reference (1) relative to the LaSalle County. Unit 1 fuel loading date.
Given the.
uncertainties associated with completion of the testing program as outlined in Reference 1, we indicated that Unit 1 would be ready for fuel loading between. January 1, 1982 and March 1, 1982.
However, it is our present belief that January 31, 1982 is the fuel load readiness date for Unit 1.
Our efforts-are now being directed at improving that date. and eliminating remaining sources of uncertainty which could cause future delay.
Your assistance in. completing the final documentation of the technical review, which with very few exceptions is complete, is also essential.
In particular, we expect to be working closely with yo'ur staf f to complete the review of our test prioritization

schedule presented in Reference (2).
