Clinton Power Station Unit 1 Docket No. 50-461 This is in reply to reference 1 which_was received by Illinois Power on September 21, 1981.

Clinton Power Station is a BWR/6 with a Mark III Containment, and the reference 2 generic' letter states that pipe breaks in the scram system of-plants with a Mark III containment is not a safety issue.

We understand'that no additional information is required by-reference 1 due to our Mark III Containment design.
