Dear Mr. Chairman:

I am writing to clarify a point raised at the Commission's meeting yesterday with respect to the timetable for consideration of the Applicants' Section 50.12 request.

I believe I stated that Intervenors had no objection.to'the timetable proposed by the Applicants. However, I also stated, and I wish to reiterate, that Intervenors have no

-objection to compression of that timetable by'a number of weeks. We,'like the Applicants, are interested in obtaining prompt resolution of the matter, and, particularly in the absence'of an adjudicatory hearing, we believe that a shorter period of review is feasible.
