SUBJECT:
CRGR REVIEW OF REGULATORY GUIDE ON SNUBBERS In the enclosed memo to Mr. Dircks, Mr. Fraley states that the ACRS does not believe the proposed Regulatory Guide requirements on snubber testing have been justified on a cost-benefit basis or in relation to other improvements that could be made to reduce risk. They believe that the CRGR should review the Guide.
Please have your staff prepare the cost-benefit information and other information outlined in my memo of November 18, 1981, and let me know when the package will be ready for CRGR review.
