POWER AUTHORITY OF THE STATE OF :!EW YORK (Indian Point Unit 3)

Dockets Nos. 50-247-SP 50-286-SP

Dear Sirs:

The County of Rockland, in its Prehearing Conference Memorandum, requested that a portion of the hearings in this matter, not erely limited appearance statements, be held in the County of Rockland based upon this county's close proximity to the Indian Point facilities, and the county's strong interest in obtaining the full participation and input of its citizens.

After looking into several facilities in the county which wc.11d be suitable for both limited appearance statements and for the holding of hearings, I believe that the North Rockland High School, located in the Town of Haverstraw, New York, would be the most suitable.

The facility holds approximately 900 people, and has a public address system available for our use. Therefore, have enclosed an application form and ask that you contact me as soon as possible, if I may be of aid in making arrangements.

Very truly yours, MARC L. PARRIS County Attorney u~u ERIC OLE THORSEN Assistant County Attorney I 8112180441 811209 ECfr/ep 050002
