This is to acknowledge your comments dated November 20, 1981, addressed to Comissioner Ahearne, regarding the Nuclear Regulatory Comission's proposed

regulations to implement the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, as amended.
Your coments were received in the NRC on December 2,1981.
As required by law, the NRC's proposed regulations were modeled after guidelines. published by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (45 C.F.R. Part 90, 44 Fed.
- Reg. 33768 (1979)). Accordingly, revisions of substance such as you have suggested are beyond the scope of NRC's authority.
We have, however, forwarded a copy of your coments to HHS. A copy of that letter is enclosed.
