The Georgia Power Company wishes to submit the following information concerning the violation discussed in your inspection reports 50-424/81-09 and 50-425/81-09.
We concur with the finding identified concerning inspectors not being identified on the records for in-process testing of plastic concrete and unconfined compression testing of concrete cylinders. Prior to your inspec-tion, Georgia Power Company thought that the method used to document these inspections was sufficient. Level II or lead inspectors were reviewing the work, verifying that only qualified inspectors were used, and signing the completed packages. The in-process testing Inspectors have since been instructed to place their initials by the results of each test perfonned by them on the Concrete Placement Pour Log. A random follow-up surveillance has assured that this is currently being done.
The Concrete Testing Pour Test Part I form has been revised to allow an initial block for the Inspector performing the test. This form is presently being used.
Full compliance was achieved Novem' o er 1,1981.
