DUQUESNE LIGHT COMPANY Nuclear Safety and Licensing Department November 4, 1981 USL:JDS: 1160 Beaver Valley Power Station Energency Preparedness Plan To All Holders Of Emergency Implementing Procedures:
Please find attached the latest copy (Issue 6, Revision 4) of the BVPS Emergency Implementing Procedures (IPs) for your information and use.
These procedures will become effective November 16, 1981.
Please destroy any previous copies of this Volume (Volume II) to avoid misinformation or error.
The BVPS EPP, operating Manual Chapter 57, consists of two (2) Volumes:
the Plan which is Volume I and the Implementing Procedures (IPs) which comprise Volume II.

The entire set of Implementing Procedures is being reissued as Issue 6, Revision a to facilitate your incorporation of the numerous revised pages.
These changes have been made to address NRC and DLCo internal co==ents.
Significant changes include:
1.
Transfer of ECC Functions to the Technical Support Center (TSC) ; revised BVPS Nuclear Division energency organization incorporating an E=crgency Operations Facility; and, reassignment of BVPS Nuclear Division personnel to emergency positions to reflect the reorganized Nuclear Division (see EPP IPs 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6).
2.
Incorporation of compensatory measures for the uncertainty in assessing plume trajectory (NRC appraisal finding).
IPs 2.6.1, 2.1 and 4.1 were affected.
