Dear 16. mdino:
I strongly oppose the construction of the Clinch River Breeder Reactor near Oak Ridge, TN. I ask that you refuse permission for av construction on this project and that you issue no license.
I wrote to Senator Howard Baker on Oct. 13, 1981, insisting that he kill l
the Breeder Project. Just as he has done in other matters which I have l
written to him, when he voted, he cocoletely ignored g wishes. The enclosed copy of g letter to him gives y position on this matter.
~
Enclosed are copies of g recent letters which were published in the following newspapers:

Dear Senator Baker:
As a very concerned citizen, I an again writing to you to insist that you Idll the Clinch River Breeder Reactor Project.
I know that this has been one of your pet projects. Nalph Nader recently issued a statement on the nens that you are responsible for keeping this dangerous project alive.
If you will check your files, you will note that I have been writing numerous letters to you, all pertaining to the quality of our environnant and civil rights. I have been investigating the entire nuclear industry since 1977.
The Breeder till be even more dangerous than today's reactors.
The cost overruns ar.6 a disgrace.
Three-fourths of the prime contracts are open ended - no firmly set costs or completion dates.
As a cttizen and taxpayer, I insist that this project be killed it: mediately.
