PREHEARING CONFERENCE MEMORANDUM Q, Q'
Pursuant to the Boards order of November 9,1981, in which it scheduled a special pre-hearing conference, the County of Rockland seeks an order setting forth the following.
Due to the severity of the consequer.ces which would befall the approximately 115,000 residents of Rockland County who live within a ten mile radius of Indian Point, in the event of a nuclear accident, the County and its citizens have a right to maximum participation in these proceedings.
Rockland County's population within the E.P.Z.
is only exceeded by 15,000 people within Westchester's E.P.Z..
During the sumt.er months, and due to Rockland's wealth of recreational facilities.
l the population within the E.P.Z. may easily exceed 200,000.
The County or Rockland therefore seeks:
- a. an immediate, free, daily transcript of the hearings to be kept available to its public;
- b. a limited public document room to be established within the County:
