POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 In letters dated April 1 and May 22, 1981, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requested payment of fees pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22 for the Staff's February 13, 1981 approval of Wisconsin Electric's January 20, 1981 request for extention of completion dates for certain plant modifications associated with the Staff's Fire Protection Safety Evaluation Report.
Notwithstanding our arguments and protests in letters dated April 23 and June 5, 1981, the Commission has insisted that a payment of fees totaling $1,600 is due for this NRC action; your letter dated November 19, 1981 directed payment be emitted within 15 days.
Accordingly, please find enclosed a check payable to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in the amount of $1,600.
