SUPPLY SYSTEM NUCLEAR PROJECT N0. 2 POTENTIALLY REPORTABLE 10CFR50.55(e) CONDITION N0. 142 DIESEL GENERATOR BUILDING HVAC SYSTEM
Reference:
Letter G02-81-165, dated July 1,1981, RG Matlock (Supply System) to RH Engelken (NRC), same subject The reference letter advised you that a reportable 10CFP.50.55(e) condition existed regarding tornado depressurization effects on tha Diesel Generator Building HVAC System, and that a final report would be submitted by Novem-ber 15,1981, describing required plant modifications.
Our further review of this condition has resulted in the conclusion that even though portions of the HVAC ductwork could collapse under the postulated tornado pressure drop,~the system would still operate in the recirculation mode to provide room cooling to maintain the diesel generator electrical equipment within its operable temperature range. Therefore, the condition described in the Reference has been determined to be not reportable under 10CFR50.55(e).
