In accordance with CRCSF-P, 27 Feb 1981, subject:

Radiological Emergency Contingency Plans, request that US BRL NRC Special Nuclear Materiel License Number SNM-9 be amended to lower BRL possession limits. Request new pcssession limits of 6.0 x 10-3 grams of Pu-238 maximum and 1.5 grams of Pu-239 maximum as unsealed sources. All other limits to remain as authorized in amendment No. 04 dated 21 Feb 1978.

The Ballistic Research Laboratory is not authorized to possess U-235, U-233, or plutonium in such quantities as to require criticality monitors or alarms in accordance with 10 CFR 70.24.
