NUREG-0737, Item I.C.6 Verifying Performance of Operatingb Activities Gentlemen:
In discussions with Mr. Dennis Chaney of your staff, we have been informed that the interim actions described in our letter to you dated April 1, 1981, are not completely satisfactory to meet the requirements of action ittm I.C.6 of NUREG-0737.
By September 6, 1981, the Duquesne Light Company will provide independent verification of the correct performance of operating activities on equipment required to prevent or mitigate the consequences of an accident and/or to bring the plant to a safe shutdown condition.
This independent verification will be performed by an individual that is fully qualified to perform the verification. This will not necessarily be an individual of the same job class as the individual that performed the activity.
