Dear Mr. Stolz:

This letter relates to two items in NUREG 0737 " Clarification of TMI Action Plan Requirements" as they concern the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1.

Item I.A.1.1.4 is the description of the long-te.m Shift Technical Advisor (STA) program. As described in Toledo Edison letter of December 31, 1980, work is going on with Ohio State University to develop training efforts such that the STA's funct2on could be incorp-orated into the shift organization without requirinh a dedicated individual.

Item II.B.4 deals with training for mitigating core damage. This program is being handled on a B&W Owners Group level and has been scheduled for complete implementation by October 1, 1981.

Details of both of these programs are 4till being developed. Toledo Edison will submit the resulting programs description for these items by August 31, 1981.

Very truly yours, e
