Dear Dr. Morris:
Responsive to four letter of April 26, 1967, we met with your staff on May 9 to discuss the results of the inspection of Dresden Unit 1 which was nade during the cycle h refueling outage.
The reactor was routinely taken out of service on January 13, 1967.
The inspection con-control ducted during this outage covered three broad areas:
rod drives, fuel and the reactor's primary system.
Several anomalies were detected and corrected.
Analysis of the se anonalies indicates that the reactor uns operated safely throughout cycle h.
The resctor was returned to service en e
following successful conpletion of tests and May 28, 1967, inspections necessary to assure us th1t the reactor could be operated without undue risk to the health and safety of the l
public.
