Dear Mr. Chairman:
A physics professor at the University of Texas at Austin recently wrote me, questioning the NRC's process of venting Krypton gas at Three Mile Island.
Dr. Russell Collins says there are better solutions that would protect the public.
They include leaving the gas bottled up longer, then releasing it slower: cnd storing Krypton in a separate area in cylindcrs under pressure. I am enclosing a copy of Dr. Collins' letter and weuld like the NRC's comments,to these options.
I trust the venting now underway in the safest method possibic.
