By telephone conversation between the NRC staff, T. Ippolito, and your office, L. kofsey, on July 17, 1980, Mr. Wofsey confirmed information provided us by Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) that a critical situation existed concerning electrical power generation in the region served by TVA. contains the information provided by TVA. The NRC staff has taken a regulatory action with respect to TVA based upon that information provided by your office.

We request you confirm in writing TVA's critical situation concerning electrical power generation as of this date.
